My notebook (running Vista) connects to my home network with no issues. At work I connected just fine this morning, then after the notbook went into sleep mode at lunch I started having problems.
The network systray icon showed as "Connected: Local Only" with all green bars lit. The Network Centershows a connection to the wireless AP then a red X to the enternet.
Clicking "Diagnose Internet Connection" proves to be worthless (tells me to move closer to the access point) A XP laptop nect to the Vista laptop connects fine. (no more than 10 feet from the AP)
The IP that it has is 169.254.231.141 and it should be 192.168.1.XXX
Please help if anyone has any ideas. Thanks
P.S. What the heck happened to "Repair" when you right click a connection? I want it back!
